In the December 3 issue of Time magazine, Time asked several prominent individuals whom they would choose for the 2007 Person of the Year.Whoopi Goldberg said, “My nomination is the word green. It’s now on the lips of little bitty babies coming from their mothers’ wombs. It’s being used by the people who never thought about it before in their lives – people who never cared about recycling or anything like that. People who you would never think would do such a small thing are doing it because it’s all about going green to make the world better.” I vote for Whoopi!Now, we also just heard an amazing report on global warming from the great climate scientist, James Hansen. Green Baby – why the healthy alternative.

I am so happy you have written on this topic. I have been waiting for the opportunity to inform everyone on why we believe Green Baby is a healthy alternative to television and other baby DVDs.

We totally agree with you in that “any TV watching” is not cool. My family doesn’t watch TV. We dislike it with a passion. The content is generally unhealthy for all ages. And the sporadic, fasts cuts are irritating and damaging not only to baby, also adults and even the family dog.

We decided to choose the medium of DVD to help spread the word about gratitude and appreciation for nature because we knew it would be the easiest way to reach large amounts of people in a fairly short period of time. We are aware that climate change is happening fast. Our intention is to create healthy change in the way we are living and thinking. We are a lazy, spoiled society. We have taken much for granted. We have forgotten where we get the air we breathe, the water we drink, the food we eat, and the ground we walk on. Our DVD is a simple, non-preachy approach, to remind everyone that Mother Earth is our provider and we should treat her with loving kindness and respect.

We did lots of research before we made Green Baby in terms of what is healthy for babies and toddlers to watch on a television monitor. We discovered that a scene that lasts for at least 10 seconds with no cuts or fancy effects is not harmful. We made sure that all of our scenes are at least 10 seconds long and that they contain positive content.

From our market research we have realized that babies and toddlers become very happy when they watch Green Baby. They are looking at other babies’ faces in natural beautiful settings with fun and colorful animation. The feeling of happiness produces healthy results.

Green Baby goes to the pumpkin patch!

Green Baby visited the organic pumpkin patch this holiday week-end and a funny thing happened along the way. We decided to take a shortcut up a road called Telegraph trail and out of nowhere popped a sheep – ran right into the middle of the road and forced us to stop! All of a sudden an ocean of them appeared – the next thing we knew we were surrounded by happy baaing sheep. The sheep seemed quite pleased when we got out of the car to greet them close-up. It seemed nature had its alluring way of saying, “Get out of your car and become one with the animals again. Stop separating yourself from nature. Use your feet to get around!!”

Green Baby is all about walking, riding bikes and being one with nature.

So happy pumpkin carving and don’t forget to make the most out of your pumpkin – roast the seeds, make a pie and shine the candle from the inside. Most importantly shine your own candle from the inside and have a happy day!
